THOMAS JOHNATHAN JACKSON "Stonewall" Born in Clarksburg, western Virginia on January 21, 1824. Graduated 17th in his class at West Point in 1846. Professor at V.M.I. in Lexington, Virginia from 1851-61. Commanded 2nd Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia. Wounded at Chancellorsville, VA on May 2, 1863. Died on May 12, 1863, and buried near V.M.I. in Lexington, VA.
